Through MEOR’s Maimonides Leaders Fellowship, you will engage your heritage through mind-opening classes and stimulating discussions as well as experience the beauty and sophistication of Jewish living.
Discover how Judaism provides a holistic approach to living life to the fullest. Realize why intellectual and spiritual giants have dedicated their lives to Torah study and practice. Appreciate why Jews throughout the millennia have held fast to our invigorating heritage.
The core program consists of 10 weekly classes/discussions as well as several social and religious programs, including Shabbatons. Upon completion, you earn a cash stipend as well as priority consideration for our travel and internship opportunities.

We invite you to join us for special Shabbat programs offered several times each semester in various communities. Shabbatons are always a lot of fun and rewarding. They begin Friday afternoon and end Saturday night. Transportation, room & board are arranged for everyone.
We offer a splendid array of travel opportunities to both our current students and alumni. Most travel opportunities are either in Israel or North America, though occasionally more exotic destinations appear. Many of these trips are generously subsidized, becoming great bargains and affordable to most everyone.
As an added incentive, and in recognition of the participants' commitment of valuable time, a cash stipend of up to $300 is awarded to each fellow upon completion of the MEOR Maimonides Leaders Fellowship program
Through guided group discussion, exploration of classic Jewish texts, and the insight of our experienced MEOR Maimonides Leaders Fellowships educators, you will discover your Jewish identity in an entirely new way. Our educational content is constantly reviewed to ensure it is engaging, substantive, personal – and empowering!
You’re challenging yourself and thinking in ways you’ve never thought before. MEOR Upstate offers a pressure-free, accepting environment. The religious aspect combined with fun is the ideal mix.

Rabbi Harkavy and his wife, Adina, made me such a part of their wonderful family. They are so nice and easy-going and their kids are precious. College would not be the same without them!

My college life would not have been the same without the direct influence of MEOR. I’ve been lucky enough to take several classes, be rewarded internships both in NYC and in Washington DC, and travel to Israel as a direct result of my involvement with MEOR at Binghamton.
